3.
I once had a dog, a shiny car and a shovel I lost it all but kept diggin' Everyday in the open Nothing else but the sunrise, me and my pumpkin All I like is the glowy mud A silent swim before the yellow dawn I must say I like my lonely mornings French toasts and pumpkin juice Can't stop jiggling Can't stop jiggling Dig the meltin' flesh of the mighty pumpkin Dig the meltin' flesh of the mighty pumpkin I once had a chicken, a shiny rat and a unicorn I lost it all but kept diggin' Someday, I heard a laugh from the depth A frog was there, it smelled funny We talked for a while, nice little chit-chat Amphibious speeches seduced me Froggy frog spoke the truth under the stars We danced all night long Can't stop jiggling Can't stop jiggling Dig the meltin' flesh of the mighty pumpkin Dig the meltin' flesh of the mighty pumpkin
4.
The light is disolved in stars The light is disolved in stars Black is the taste of memory Black are its furrows and teeth Shadows are begging for beams Start crying, the stones are alive Start crying Start crying Recall It's going to rain It's going to rain again It rains It rains It hurts
5.
6.
Carve a piece you'll never replace Draw me a tooth, squares don't bite The dance is a happy scar  But still a scar I dig the meltin' flesh of the mighty pumpkin
7.
8.
Epilogue  02:13
There On the high mountain Lies my house Confortable and warm Detached from time Come along We will sit together And drink up our century  While gazing at the vastness

about

Chamber music, loud riffs, pure choirs, electronic textures, This first album from OGIVES, "La mémoiredes orages" (The Memory of Storms) is a myriad of contrasts. The double LP offers long and dense tracks, symmetrically arranged into a 75 minutes melancholic epic.
These pieces revolve around the themes of the perception of time and the perspective of death.
The classical composing techniques such as tintinnabuli, polytonality and counterpoints intertwine the post and prog rock legacy, while the electronic textures of modular synths embrace the pure classical female vocals.
Moreover OGIVES' music finds its inspiration in the ancient European music and in its inherent spirituality. Byzantine chants, baroque counterpoints, Old Roman monodies all are elements in the background of the band's composing style.

"Ogives are a riposte to conventionality and the potency they offer is truly intoxicating" - P R O G

"In all it's certainly a unique combination of elements, with a quite individual style overall, and as such amounts to an album that is both accessible and challenging" - Audion

"the best slice of Belgian vinyl since the days when Univers Zéro first settled on Planet Zeuhl" - The Sound Projector

"Their sound is certainly one of many juxtaposed contrasts coexisting in some kind of strange earthly harmony, at once beautiful (but never pretty) and sometimes most menacing, a collision of nightmares and dreams". - Exposé
